The largest rush of the world has arrived to perform hajj till now!!!

MINA – Since here is the outbreak of pandemic in 2022 finally, millions of hajj pilgrims of the world has arrived to perform hajj this year. At the Grand Mosque in Makkah after performing the Tawaf Al-Qudum (Tawaf of Arrival) around the Holy Kaaba Hajj pilgrims from all over the world started moving into the tent city of Mina early on Wednesday night.

All roads and highways leading into the vast plains of Mina situated seven km from the Grand Mosque were filled with the thousands of pilgrims on Wednesday, some in buses, with other vehicles and some by foot were there on road. Retracing the noble tradition of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the pilgrims will spend the day and night on Thursday, which is known as the Tarwiyah Day, in Mina.

Pilgrims on the first day of hajj will be engaged in supplications and making final preparations for the Standing (wuqoof) at Arafat which is the most important pillar of Haj, marking the climax of the annual pilgrimage, on Friday.on the Day of Tarwiyah, marking the beginning of the annual pilgrimage of Hajj one million pilgrims will be joined with it. This was the first time when foreigner pilgrims are allowed to perform Hajj after the outbreak of corona pandemic.

During the last two Hajj seasons that held in the unprecedented pandemic situation and travel restrictions the Saudi authorities allowed limited number of domestic pilgrims to perform the annual pilgrimage. This year only those pilgrims are allowed in hajj who have taken atleast two dose of corona vaccine and who are less than 65 years of age. And some corona guidelines which pilgrims are supposed to be followed like wearing mask is mandatory inside the Grand Mosque. As a total of 850,000 foreign pilgrims and 150000 domestic pilgrims are performing Hajj this year. In 2019, about 2.5 million pilgrims from within the Kingdom and abroad performed the annual pilgrimage so authority is not in circumstance to take any risk with the life of people and pilgrims due to coronavirus.
